FROM LONDON TO ACCRA
A little idea that came home
Sometimes, an idea begins in the most unexpected place.
One evening, while shopping in London, a simple thought jumped at me: why did I absolutely hate house chores back in Ghana, but somehow fell in love with them when I moved back to join my family in London?
The answer, I realised, was fragrance.
As a perfume-loving teenager, I was fascinated by the incredible variety of fragrance-led cleaning products I could find in London. Suddenly, something as ordinary as cleaning the house or doing the laundry didn’t feel quite so ordinary. There were scents to discover, favourites to choose, and that little moment of satisfaction when the whole house smelled beautiful afterwards.
Without even realising it, fragrance had turned a chore I once dreaded into a ritual I genuinely enjoyed.
Years later, standing in that London shop, that memory sparked a question:
What if we could bring that same feeling home to Ghana?
That question became the beginning of WAZH.
But an idea was only the beginning.
Bringing that feeling home meant creating something that made sense for the way we live here.
I didn’t want to simply copy what I had seen in London. WAZH had to feel like us.
And that’s when the real work began.
It became a question of how we could take something as ordinary as cleaning and make it feel better — more enjoyable, more expressive, more considered — without making it expensive or out of reach.
Beautiful fragrance. Everyday products. Made for the way we actually live.
There were searches, sketches, packaging ideas, wrong turns and more versions than I can remember. Slowly, that little thought I’d had while shopping in London began to take shape.
And eventually, it had a name.
WAZH.

It was made to become part of everyday life - the freshly cleaned kitchen, the beautifully scented sheets, the little rituals that make home feel like home.
